Just finished 4 days at the web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco. The highlights for me were the Forrester sessions, microblogging session, getting my first on camera interview and Fake Steve Jobs. Pictures aren't the best, needed a better camera, but am still impressed by my phone's ability. Also of special note is that the conference, that hosts about 5K attendees, went green this year, replacing water bottles with water coolers, limiting amount of paper produced and recycling badges after the show.

The South Park booth crawl was a fun idea. I cruised the parties with the two best sidekicks, Dana and Mike. The first party was held in a modern art reject gallery. This month's pieces were arctic themes made of cotton balls- made for good photos at least.I heard Yahoo put on the best party hands down. I think a lot more people would have gone to the Six apart party but it was too far away. I personally liked the high class apps and wine at the Federated Media party. And the mojitos at Jack Falstaff were the worst!
And I saved the best for last...The W hotel. My hats off to you guys, you really know how to make the perfect stay complete with bliss bath products, an ipod doc with speakers and a fiber optic Buddah. Not to mention I had the most amazing view of the Bay Bridge. I had to order risotto from the XYZ bar too, delicious. My only complaint was making us use revolving doors with huge suitcases, my ankles are still bruised!

Apparently the Internet was down in his apartment so he's been lugging this 20 lb computer back and forth to the coffee shop everyday for the last couple of weeks. Love it! 

I think Amy Macdonald is very catchy and fun and reminds me of my Dad's Irish music

For anyone who has been watching this season of American Idol you’ll agree it’s most likely that David Cook will win, however David Archuleta, without a doubt, has the best voice of anyone ever on American Idol.

I think the reason David Cook will win is because he appeals more to those same people who made bands like Creed and Nickelback hugely popular. It’s a knee jerk reaction for me to change the station the second I hear “how the hell did we end”.  Although David Cook may very well be awesome, I honestly can’t stand him because he reminds me so much of these bands.

David Archuleta on the other hand…Let’s just say I may very well text a vote for the first and only time ever. Truth is, I wouldn’t even be watching this season if it weren’t for him. And I’m not even really sure what it is about him. He reminds me of a male Norah Jones and she’s another rare artist that the second I heard her I was hooked. I like the purity of his voice and that he can rely on that without all the instruments to support him. It doesn’t hurt either that despite how amazing he is he remains completely humble and adorably coy.

Nothing beats a baseball game in summer. I love sitting back with beers and friends and enjoying the energy of a good baseball game. And for not being a big sports fan I have had the opportunity to visit a lot of ball parks in the US: Wrigley Field, AT&T Park in San Francisco, BOB in Phoenix, PETCO park in San Diego, Busch stadium in St. Louis, Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, TX, and now Yankee stadium. This is also the last year they play here before the new stadium opens next year. We got some amazing seats too, right behind A-Rod.

One of the things I love best about living in this city is that I see something crazy everyday without fail. I'm loving the quality of pics my Sony Ericsson takes too. The other morning I was running errands and came across this scene on my street but a couple avenues down. Apparently trash bags on the curb had caught fire and lit the car next to them which exploded. Fortunately nobody was hurt and I sure hope these people had insurance.
