Heather suggested to go skiing up in Tahoe over the weekend. I just wanted to show her this before we leave. It's just so incredibly insane.
I just got back from The Warfield in San Francisco seeing Imogen Heap in action. With Heather's last minute trip to New York, Erling stepped in as co-pilot on this mission. To our surprise warm-up act Kid Beyond, a fantastic beatboxer was entertaining us with his beats, vocals/noismaking and live sample looping. For those of you not familiar with this unique music artform, there has been a few good viral videos popping up around the web last couple of years.

The main act, Imogen Heap was brilliant even though she had just caught the flu and had to flee off the stage a couple of times during the act to blow her nose. She was very witty about the whole thing and the crowd seemed to think that there was a solid stage performance throughout judged by the amount of applause she got when hitting the wrong key in the very beginning of "Clear the area". Second time around it was gold, like the concert in general. I wouldn't say that there were any major highlights, just a consistently good performance. Personally, I think her album "Speak for yourself" is very much worth a listen. (Samples of each track on iTunes)

My girlfriend, Heather, and I thought it would be a cool idea to check out the Castro district in San Francisco for Halloween. It was pretty fun checking out some of those out of this world outfits such as a couple of bare-bum male geisha girls. We did manage to escape before the shootings happened (http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/11/01/BAGF0M3UOQ5.DTL). I'll see if I get around to posting a few photos from last night later on!
